Return an Item
Our goal is your 100% satisfaction with your transaction. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return most items within 30 days of the delivery date. Exceptions for international returns apply based on your country.
How to return or exchange an item:
- In order to return an item you need to first obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

To set up a return, please contact us at 1-866-698-7490 or write to us using the Online Contact Form within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer service team will provide you with a return address and a Return Authorization Number (RMA) within a few days. RMA numbers are valid for 10 days. Hardware Nation must receive the products within this time frame. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued. Returns that do not have an RMA number will not be processed and returned to you. Returned products must have a matching serial number and be brand new unused in the original package with all original equipment, components, manuals, blank warranty cards, cables, accessories, and collateral packaging. Incomplete product returns cannot be processed and will be returned to you. Returns should be double boxed to prevent damage during return shipment. Return shipments must be insured for the full value of the items. The RMA number must be clearly visible on the return shipping label. Please do not write the RMA number or make any markings on the original manufacturers package or the manufacturer may deny the return.
We will need the following information to process your return:
- Original order number
- Manufacturers part number and quantity
- Reason for return
- Your name, email and daytime phone number
Many of our items are offered with free shipping, meaning shipping has been included in the price and is part of the total cost of the order. The original shipping cost associated with an order is not reimbursable. Please note that return shipping cost back to our facility will be your responsibility and is not reimbursable. Product returns are subject to industry standard 15% restocking fee. New products that are returnable but have been opened are subject to a 25% restocking fee based on the product. In the unlikely event that you receive a product that is incorrect, defective, damaged, or missing parts we will send you replacements free of charge. Hardware Nation is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from sale or use of any merchandise purchased from us. We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only. You will receive a refund once your return has been processed at the warehouse. Return processing time generally takes several weeks. Returns that are not the result of our error will be subject to a return shipping fee which will be deducted from the refund.
Please note that some new in box products are non-returnable after they have been opened unless the product is defective. New products that are returnable but have been opened are subject to a 25% restocking fee based on the product. There are also some product categories that are non-returnable, these include but are not limited to opened software, software licenses, configure-to-order systems, batteries and consumables (ex: toner cartridges, ink cartridges, projector bulbs and digital media).
Customer is responsible for exporting the hardware from the destination country and paying all duties and fees. Please note that return shipping cost will be your responsibility and is not reimbursable.
