AS7712-32X Overview
The Edge-Core AS7712-32X DCS501 is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine 6.4T switch designed for data centers, offering line-rate L2 and L3 switching in a compact 1RU form factor. With 32x100GbE QSFP28 ports, the switch provides versatile configurations for improved network scalability. The DCS501 comes pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), allowing for the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software, including open-source options and commercial NOS offerings.
Key features include:
- Multirole capability as a TOR or spine switch
- 32x100GbE QSFP28 ports configurable as 1x100GbE, 1x40GbE, 2x50GbE, 4x25GbE, or 4x10GbE with breakout cables
- 6.4 Tbps Layer 2 or Layer 3 forwarding
- Port-to-power and power-to-port airflow options for hot/cold aisles
- Redundant, hot-swappable AC or -48V DC or 12V DC power supplies
- 5+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules
- Energy-efficient design
